Dyldam Parramatta Eels pair Nathan Peats and Semi Radradra have been chosen to play in the 2016 NRL Harvey Norman All Stars game in Brisbane in February.

For the first time, a World All Stars team will take on the reigning champion Indigenous All Stars team at Suncorp Stadium on February 13, with Semi Radradra named on the wing for the World All Stars side.

Radardra was near speechless about being selected in the side.

“I was excited and really happy. To be honest, words can’t even describe how I felt yesterday when I saw my name in the All Stars team,” Radradra said.

“I’m really happy and I’m looking forward to next year.”

World All Stars coach Wayne Bennett named his side in Brisbane yesterday and Radradra was looking forward to working under a new coach and against his Eels teammate, Nathan Peats.

“I am looking forward to being coached by Wayne Bennett. He is a very famous coach!”

“I am looking forward to playing against Peatsy. It is very good for the club for Peatsy to be picked for the Indigenous All Stars team,” Radradra added.

“Hopefully come game day, we will each be doing what we can to be the best team.”

And with the Eels about to take a break over the Christmas period, Radradra says the pre-season with his teammates has been an enjoyable one, however he was looking forward to returning home for the festive season.

“Pre-season is going pretty good. I have settled in with the boys, including a couple of new boys with the club, and it’s good that we have a very strong culture and good bonding between all the boys,” Radradra said.

“I am going back home next week, and hopefully spend some time with the family before coming back ready for next year.”
