Dyldam Parramatta Eels hooker Nathan Peats has been named in NSW VB Blues' coach Laurie Daley's Emerging Blues squad for 2016.

The Blue and Gold number nine will join 16 other aspiring Blues at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, January 16, for a camp designed to give the squad an insight into the physical and mental preparation required to play at State of Origin level for New South Wales.

“These guys are players who are obviously very talented and we believe they have the potential to be Origin players,” Daley said.

“If they make the side it helps them walk into an environment they are somewhat familiar with – so when they arrive in camp they know what we do and how we go about it.”
