Some of the 2016 Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders Training Camp Candidates.

Under the eyes of new co-directors Monique Carroll and Hayley Badham, the brand new Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders are closing in on confirming their new squad ahead of the 2016 season.

After two rounds of auditions, more than 30 talented young women have been taking part in the Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders training camp over the past few weeks, as Carroll and Badham get closer to finalising their squad.

“Training Camp is an opportunity for the girls to come in in a comfortable environment and really show their true talents,” Badham said.

“We think it is a better environment for them to learn. Each week they grow, improve on their turns, their kicks and their flexibility and they learn group work.”

“Training Camp is a place for them to grow as performers and as people.”

Badham hopes that the training camp brings out the best from all involved.

“We are looking for girls with sparkle. When I say sparkle, I mean girls who are confident and beam from the inside out, who are beautiful to watch and kind,” Badham said.

“We want them to be powerful dancers, so when they are on the field, the crowd wants to watch them and they are enthralled by what they are doing.”

Stay tuned as we look forward to unveiling our 2016 squad at our first game of the NRL season, and getting to know some of the Parramatta and Western Sydney community at our community appearances through the year.

We also have auditions coming up in February, 2016 for our junior squad, the 2016 Parramatta Pom Squad! Click here for more details.
