The Dyldam Parramtta Eels ended Day One of their Downer NRL Auckland Nines campaign with one win over the Roosters and a loss to the Storm.

Waiheke Pool: Storm 4 competition points (+16 points differential), Rabbitohs 2 (-5), Eels 2 (-7), Roosters 0 (-4)

To kick off their Day Two campaign, the Eels will take on the reigning champions, the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

There is plenty on the line, and plenty of Auckland Nines history between the two clubs. The Rabbitohs knocked the Blue and Gold out of the competition last year, before going on to take out the title, and the Eels will be out for revenge and spurred on by a victory guaranteeing their spot in the next round.

In the unlikely result of a draw when they clash on Sunday, South Sydney would go through on differential.

The Storm are guaranteed a spot in the next round whilst the Roosters were the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.

For the Eels, the Day Two equation is simple. Defeat the South Sydney Rabbitohs and progress through to the Quarter Finals.

The Eels v Rabbitohs kick off is at 11:00am (NZST) / 9:00am (AEST)
