The Dyldam Parramatta Eels NRL Squad heads to #eelsterritory this week, with a week of community activities planned ahead of the club’s trial game against the Gold Coast Titans at Anzac Oval on Saturday, February 13.
The ‘Territory Eels’ will hold an open training session for Members and fans, visit thousands of children across 12 schools as part of the NRL Community Carnival, and hold a corporate function leading into Saturday’s game.
Dyldam Parramatta Eels staff running Coaching courses in Katherine
The Eels are in the third year of a partnership with the NT Government which includes a year-round presence in the Territory for coaching, development and community appearances, a trial game in Alice Springs and an NRL Telstra Premiership game in Darwin.
Eels coaching and development staff have already been in the Territory for five days, travelling to Darwin and Katherine to visit schools, present club and teacher rugby league coaching courses, and run training sessions at the Northern Territory Institute of Sport.
