Dyldam Parramatta Eels five-eigthh Corey Norman has confirmed he and Blue and Gold new recruit Kieran Foran will take the field this Saturday night when the Eels take on the North Queensland Cowboys at Pirtek Stadium (Saturday 12 March, 7:30pm).

Norman left the field at half time in the Eels’ Round One encounter with the Broncos, after sustaining a neck injury, however he was quick to confirm he would be starting this weekend.

“Its getting better everyday and still a bit stiff but it will be right for Saturday,” Norman said.

“I was pretty worried. I got knocked out there for a second,” Norman added.

“I went to move my feet and I could move them so I jumped up. I wasn’t too worried after that because I was walking.”

“I’m pretty confident that I’ll be there Saturday.”

Norman confirmed he will take to the field alongside Kieran Foran, after the latter was a late Round One withdrawal.

“I’ll be there Saturday and he will be playing,” Norman said of this weekend.

“I am excited to play with him but I just want to get through a game first and see how we go.”

“Everyone is excited to play with him. Everyone knows how much of a good player he is so hopefully he can bring that Saturday night."

And Foran knows the Eels will have a tough contest against the Premiers this weekend.

“The Cowboys are good. With JT, that forward pack there, and Jake Granville getting out of hooker, they will be tough.” Norman said.

“They play for 80 minutes so we just have to keep turning up for the full eighty as well.”

“It is going to be a good test, but we just have to worry about our structure and how we play our footy together. It will be our second hit out so we just have to not get frustrated and stick to the plan.”
