Dyldam Parramatta Eels Chairman Steve Sharp has today welcomed the appointment of Todd Greenberg as the new Chief Executive Officer of the National Rugby League.
“Mr Greenberg brings a wealth of experience from both NRL headquarters and as a former CEO of the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs,” Mr Sharp said.
“He understands the privileges and pressures of the game on and off the field and he will be a powerful advocate for the code.”
“We commend the NRL on their choice.”
Mr Sharp said the Eels also welcome Mr Greenberg’s commitment to growing both player numbers and the code’s fanbase.
“These are also two of the Eels’ core objectives,” he said.
“The club also welcomes his comments today that the NRL is continuing to work through the salary cap issue systematically.”
“The Eels are currently conducting our own investigation and working closely with the NRL integrity unit on this matter.”
“I’m determined to ensure we get to the bottom of this matter and ensure the club’s reform agenda proceeds as quickly as possible.”
