Foran charged by Match Review Committee
Dyldam Parramatta Eels halfback Kieran Foran has been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following the Eels' win over the Bulldogs on Friday night.
Foran has been slapped with a charge of Grade 1 Contrary Conduct - Contact with Match Official, for making contact with referee Matt Cecchin in the 45th minute of the match.
The charge carries a base penalty of 125 points, or 93 points for an early guilty plea. Entering an early guilty plea would leave Foran free to play in Round 4 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
The Blue and Gold have until midday on Tuesday, March 22 to enter a response to the charge.
