Dyldam Parramatta Eels second-rower Manu Ma'u has been charged by the Match Review Committee for Grade 1 Dangerous Contact (Head and Neck) during the Eels' Round 4 win over the Wests Tigers on Easter Monday.

The charge, for a tackle on Wests Tigers second-rower Josh Aloiai in the 58th minute of the game, carries a base penalty of 100 points, with loading added for prior similar and non-similar offences, and 65 carry-over points.

An early guilty plea would see Ma'u miss 2 weeks of competition, while a guilty finding at the judiciary would also result in a 2 week suspension.

The Eels have until midday on Wednesday, March 30, to respond to the charge.
