The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have come away with the two points after a 36-6 victory over the Canberra Raiders at Pirtek Stadium on Saturday 9 April.
Speaking to Blue and Gold centre Michael Jennings, who crossed for two tries in the Round Six encounter, the outside back was confident the side would be able to bounce back after last week's defeat to the Penrith Panthers.
"We knew what we had to do. If we executed our plan and were disciplined in attack we were going to come away with the win," Jennings said.
"Our completion rate was better than last week and it showed on the field and on the scoreboard."
"Our combinations are getting better and better each week and I think the past three weeks has been really good and the options have been there, just tonight we chose the right options," he added.
The Blue and Gold showed plenty of mental fortitude, turning away seven repeat sets on their own try line, and Jennings said the side knew it would go a long way to winning.
"If we are confident with our defence, it goes a long way. We knew if we could hold them out and stick to our systems, it would go a long to winning," Jennings said.
"It showed our character early."
