Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Danny Wicks says the Eels are approaching their Round 11 clash against the Melbourne Storm at Pirtek Stadium as a Grand Final.

With the Eels requiring 12 wins to make the semis, Wicks said it was vital that the Blue and Gold comes away with the two points this week after a loss to the Rabbitohs.

"We are out to get the two points this week. That's the mindset," Wicks said.

"It is a Grand Final for us. We have to bring the two points home."

"It's pretty well publicized. We have to get 12 of the next 14 to play the semis, so you can't lose another one this early." he added.

However Wicks refused to believe that the pressure of needing to win games was playing on the players' minds.

"I think in the NRL you deal with the pressure week in week out. We have a job to do, we all get paid to do it, so we should do it."

"If we want to be there in the Semis, we need to win games."

Reflecting on the loss to the Rabbitohs, Wicks was self critical of some uncharacteristic errors in his own game.

"It's tough. I struggled with it over the last couple of days," Wicks said.

"That's rugby league. It's the 1% that win you the games and that hurts."

"It was just a couple of loose carries. I had three errors which is not like me. I don't know if it has anything to do with emotion, I'm not an emotional player, I just play for my mates around me."

"I made the mistake and I will improve."
