Dyldam Parramatta Eels winger Clint Gutherson says a change of location won’t alter the Blue and Gold’s approach to their Round 14 match against the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday night at Darwin’s TIO stadium.

Arriving in Eels Territory on Tuesday, the Eels will spend the week in Darwin visiting schools, junior clubs and Darwin Hospital, but Gutherson said their pre-game preparation will stay business as usual.

“We’ve just got to prepare as [we would for] any game,” Gutherson said.

“They’re going to be tough competition (the Titans), they’ve won a couple on the trot and they’re looking good.”

On Saturday, Gutherson will step into the centres for the Eels in place of the injured Brad Takairangi, while forward Kenny Edwards has been named to play at five-eighth as Head Coach Brad Arthur reshuffles the side to account for injuries to halfback Kieran Foran, as well as Luke Kelly and Mitch Cornish.

“Kenny’s going to do the job for us,” Gutherson said.

“When someone gets injured we always seem to be able to fill it. We’re looking forward to Saturday, and hopefully we’ll get a big crowd.”

“Especially [after] the couple of months we’ve been through, it’s good to get away from it all and be close knit. We’re going to have a good week away, and hopefully it shows on Saturday.”

The Eels kick off against the Gold Coast Titans at 5pm local time (5.30pm Sydney time) on Saturday, June 11, at Darwin's TIO Stadium.
