The Dyldam Parramatta Eels would like to congratulate Blue and Gold Junior Representatives Tui Afualo and Joshua Curran who were today named in the NSW Under-18s team to take on Queensland in the Origin II curtain-raiser at Suncorp Stadium on 22nd June.

The team will assemble for a Medical & Training session tomorrow night (Wednesday 15 June) at the NSWRL Academy, Narrabeen under the guidance and tuition of Head Coach Brad Fittler and Assistant Coach Matt King.

The State of Origin camp will then begin on Friday night before flying to Port Macquarie on Saturday morning where we will be the guests of Origin Pathways major sponsor Bamford Engineering. The four-day camp will include open training sessions at Port Macquarie Regional Stadium, hospital and school visits by our staff and players and development clinics with junior players to promote support for NSW and Rugby League in the area.

The team will arrive in Brisbane on Tuesday, 21 June, with the Under-18s State of Origin clash to kick off at 5:40pm.

The naming of Afualo and Curran comes off the back of a very strong 2016 campaign in the Eels’ SG Ball side, with Afualo named SG Ball Best Back and Curran SG Ball Best Forward at the 2016 Eels District Representative Award Night.
