Dyldam Parramatta Eels Assistant Coach Steve Murphy says the Blue and Gold will need to be prepared to roll their sleeves up and put in a strong and intense defensive performance up against the Gold Coast Titan's tonight.

Previewing the game thanks to betting.club, Murphy says the Eels must be prepared for the full 80 minutes at Cbus Super Stadium.

"They are a real full 80 minute team. They play for the full duration of the game and they really test you with their big men through the middle and their offloads," Murphy said.

"They carry the ball strong and have some big bodies so you really need to get your body in front, your defensive intensity has to be in check. They are playing well and deserve to be where they are on at the table at the moment."

"The game begins and ends there, from the forwards. Hopefully they will cancel each other out and if we can get the dominance through there, our opoortunities will come out wide so it's a pretty simple plan this week." Murphy added.

Murphy says the Blue and Gold will need to be prepared for not only some big bodies up front, but a dangerous backline.

"I think their halves have been fantastic all year. They run and show the footy and really get up on the front foot off the back of their momentum. They test you, both have a great kicking game, so we will have to defend the last play very well." Murphy said.

"Their back five if you like have been doing a great job. They link early in the play and then they really trouble you out of dummy half. Don, McDonald, Mead is very quick, Hurrell, Hoffman, they are all very talented and underated but certainly not by us."

The Eels kick off against the Gold Coast Titans at Cbus Super Stadium at 5:30pm.
