Dyldam Parramatta Eels second-rower Manu Ma'u has been charged by the Match Review Committee for Grade 1 Dangerous Throw during the Eels' Round 20 clash against the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday July 23.

The charge, for a tackle on Titans half Ash Taylor in the 54th minute of the game, carries a base penalty of 125 points.

An early guilty plea would see Ma'u miss one week of competition.

The Eels have until midday on Tuesday, July 26, to respond to the charge.
