The Dyldam Parramatta Eels have set a club Membership record for the fourth consecutive season, with more than 23,032 Members joining the Blue and Gold Army in 2016.
The tally eclipses the 2015 record of 22,824, showing the proud support of the Parramatta Eels faithful.
“Our Members and supporters are the greatest in the game; I believe that and our players certainly believe that,” Parramatta Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur said.
“The support from the Blue and Gold Army absolutely helps to get us across the line at home games, and everywhere we travel, we have huge support from our Members as well.”
In 2016, the Eels have seen a particular spike in new junior memberships, with more children pledging their support to the Blue and Gold Army.
“It’s great news, and it’s a great show of our Members’ loyalty and passion for this place,” club captain Tim Mannah said.
“In life, I’ve found loyalty is everything,” Eels prop Danny Wicks added.
“I just want to thank the supporters so much. From the bottom of my heart, and from the boys at Parramatta, thank you.”
While full-season Membership has now closed for 2016, there are still Membership options available for Eels supporters who continue to sign up to support their club.
“Breaking a membership record this season really highlights what we see every day from the Blue and Gold Army,” Parramatta Eels Manager of Consumer Business, Larissa Paegle, said.
“The feedback and passion from Eels Members has been overwhelming, to the point that we have developed a new $1 “pledge” style Membership so that Members who haven’t yet signed up yet can be counted for 2016, and also commit right through next year.”
New Members can take up the option to commit for the 2017 season and also become a non-ticketed Member for the remainder of 2016 for just $1.
What's included for $1? A $1 commitment makes you an official 2016 non-ticketed Member, receiving Member discounts from merchandise and tickets to our home games, as well as a 2016 Membership pack in the post.
What happens in 2017? Your Membership will then automatically roll over into a regular-cost non-ticketed Membership for 2017. The Eels Membership team will contact you in writing 30 days before the Membership is due to roll over as a reminder, and Members can opt out at any time prior to the rollover date.
