Dyldam Parramatta Eels forward Rory O’Brien and fullback Bevan French have both been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee after the Eels Round 24 clash against the Canberra Raiders at GIO Stadium on Sunday 21 August.

Eels forward Rory O’Brien was charged with Grade One Dangerous Contact – Other in a tackle involving Brenko Lee in the 23rd minute of the match, which carries a base penalty of 100 points.

Eels fullback Bevan French was charged with Grade One Dangerous Throw in a tackle involving Jarrod Croker in the 80th minute of the match, which carries a base penalty of 125 points.

O’Brien and French will both be available to play next week against the St. George Illawarra Dragons (Monday 29th August) if they enter early guilty pleas.

The Eels are yet to respond to the charges, and have until midday Tuesday 23 August.
