The Parramatta Eels have today welcomed the announcement of the 2017 NRL Telstra Premiership draw, which will see the club take part in some of the game’s biggest clashes.
Due to the unavailability of ANZ Stadium in Rounds One through to Three (due to concert committments), the 2017 schedule will see the Blue and Gold play five of their opening six games on the road, including a blockbuster clash against arch-rivals the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles at Brookvale Oval in Round 1 to open the season.
The Eels will welcome the Blue and Gold Army to ANZ Stadium for the first time in 2017 when they take on the 2016 Premiers, the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks, in Round 4 for Saturday night football.
Blue and Gold fans will want to bookmark Easter Monday in their calendar’s, when the Eels take on the Wests Tigers at ANZ Stadium on Monday 17 April at 4pm, which will be followed by another Battle of the West when the Eels take on the Panthers in Round 8.
The Eels also play other traditional rivals, the South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium.
In the club’s home away from home in the Northern Territory, the Eels will host the North Queensland Cowboys at Darwin’s TIO Stadium in Round 14.
However the run home for the Blue and Gold will see the Eels play 8 out of the last 10 games at ANZ Stadium and 11 out of the last 14 games at our new home ground.
Blue and Gold Army Members will benefit throughout the season with the opportunity to attend a massive 14 games, with a Membership providing access to all 11 Eels home games at ANZ Stadium.
During the season, the Eels will travel to Gold Coast, Brisbane, Canberra, Auckland and Melbourne throughout the season, providing an opportunity for the club’s Members and supporters around the country and in New Zealand to see their team play.
