The Parramatta Eels kicked off their 2017 Downer NRL Auckland Nines campaign with two wins from their opening two clashes, coming away with victories against the St. George Illawarra Dragons (32-11) and the New Zealand Warriors (17-0).
The Eels currently sit at the top of the Piha pool with their two victories and are tied with the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles who also claimed two victories on the opening day.
The Eels play the Sea Eagles on the morning of Day Two at 9:25am AEDT (11:25am NZDT) with the winner of that match taking out the Piha pool.
In the other pools of the draw, the Panthers, Titans, Broncos and Cowboys also came away undefeated on the opening day of play.
The Eels are already guaranteed a spot in the Quarter Finals, with results in their clash against the Sea-Eagles and the Waiheke and Hunua pool to determine their opposition in the final stages.
