This Sunday (14 May 2017), when the Parramatta Eels NYC side take on the Sydney Roosters NYC side at Allianz Stadium for Round 10 of the Holden Cup competition, they will contest the inaugural Chad Robinson Cup.
Two of Robinson’s former teammates, Sydney Roosters legend Anthony Minichiello and Parramatta stalwart Luke Burt, proudly unveiled the new silverware earlier this week.
Robinson, who played 159 NRL matches during stints at the Eels and Roosters, was reported missing late last year before the tragic loss in December.
Earlier this year, an education fund was established to assist the children of former Parramatta Eels and Sydney Roosters player Chad Robinson to complete their schooling.
Chad is survived by two children, 15 year-old daughter Kiara and 10 year-old son Cooper. Both children attend schools in the Hills district of north-western Sydney and all money raised will assist with their schooling.

Please note, there will also be opportunities for donations to the Kiara and Cooper Education Fund throughout at Allianz Stadium during the Eels v Roosters Round 10 clash.
Following the Eels v Roosters NYC clash, the NRL sides will play for the Jack Gibson Cup, honouring the legendary coach Jack Gibson, who led both teams to multiple premierships in the 1970s and 80s.
