In 2017, when the Parramatta Eels win on the field, we will be announcing three awards presented to the players following the game.

The awards are:

·      Rebel Moment of the Week Award

·      Grappa Relentless Effort Award and

·      Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award

These awards are presented to the players as chosen by Eels Head Coach Brad Arthur and the Blue & Gold coaching staff in relation to how they meet the Eels standards and expectations.

See the Round Fifteen Eels Awards below.

Rebel Moment of the Week Award – Bevan French

This week’s Rebel Moment of the Week Award goes to Eels winger Bevan French.

French was defensively solid all game, and there were plays early in the second half that epitomised French’s efforts including a strong defensive tackle and read on Dragons Tim Lafai to shut down the opposition attack.

French’s determination and effort was also rewarded with a try in the 57th minute, when the winger won the race to a Mitch Moses cross field chip early in the set, putting the Eels up 24-4.

Grappa Relentless Effort Award – Corey Norman

Five-eighth Corey Norman earns this week’s Grappa Relentless Effort Award.

In just his second game on the field since returning from injury, Norman was back in fine form, with his long boot tormenting the Dragons’ backs.

The kicks saw Parramatta’s long kicks finding space (9-2) against the Eels, with Norman’s boot playing a crucial part.

Norman also finished the game with 22 tackles and 57 run metres.

Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award – Mitch Moses

Halfback Mitch Moses earns this week’s Pendle Hill Meat Market Own Your Job Award following his performance in the Eels victory over the Dragons.

Moses short kicking game built plenty of pressure, forcing four Eels drop outs compared to the Dragons nil, along with a kick early in the set that saw Bevan French score a crucial try out wide.

Moses finished the game with 21 tackles, 31 run metres and one try assist.
