This week, when the Parramatta Eels take on the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs at ANZ Stadium on Thursday 29 June for Round Seventeen of the NRL Telstra Premiership, the Under 6 Parramatta Junior Eels side will run the Blue & Gold out onto the ground before kick off, as the Shine Lawyers Team of the Week!
The U6 Parramatta Junior Eels submitted their entry and were the chosen team after their submission demonstrated Shine’s values.
As part of their submission, the U6 Parramatta Junior Eels were described as a great team.
“Our team is one. We work together as teammates but also as a community. Every training session or game we give 100%. We strive for success and achievement to encourage every child to be the best they can be. Our team is the next generation. A generation of positive and talented young individuals” their application said.
“We ensure every player, trainer and parent have an input that has a lasting effect of positivity. Our team is one of the greatest because not only do we encourage our players to be role models for each other but for our opposing teams. Our community and team are diverse in gender and background. Each week our team comes together to not only train but to create a stronger bond. The bond we share demonstrates technicality and sportsmanship on and off the field. Our love for the game is unique in many aspects. We not only work as a team but we also work well individually, such as joining opposing teams to complete a side. Whether we win or lose, the positivity within our club will always shine.”
