This week, when the Parramatta Eels take on the Newcastle Knights at ANZ Stadium on Friday 11 August for Round Twenty Three of the NRL Telstra Premiership, the U10 Parramatta City Titans will run the Blue & Gold out onto the ground before kick off, as the Shine Lawyers Team of the Week!
The U10 Parramatta City Titans side submitted their entry and were the chosen team after their submission demonstrated Shine’s values.
As part of their submission, the U10 Parramatta City Titans side were described as a team that shines because "Week in and week out they play with all their hearts."
"They work beautifully as a team and win or lose they always shake hands with the opposition and congratulate them on their efforts. This team is a true testament of what kind of man Phil (coach) is."
"They all look up to him and respect him. He makes sure each child believes in themselves and that each child has a run. He has perfected the art of playing to your strengths and in doing so these little boys play as a well oiled machine."
"As a parent it brings a tear to my eye to see my son out on the field doing what he loves more than anything in the world and doing it with pride for his club. He can't wait for his debut with the Parramatta Eels one day."
The team's philosophy is "to play with your heart, play as a team and have fun. Most importantly, to remmeber that whether you win or lose, be confident in knowing that you did your best and that's all that matters."
