The Parramatta Eels will return to #eelsterritory next week (Tuesday 5 December – Friday 8 December) as part of their annual pre-season trip to the Blue & Gold’s home away from home.
Returning to the Northern Territory, the Eels are again planning a full twelve-month calendar of visits to #eelsterritory, including next week’s visit.
The Blue & Gold will host coaching and skills clinics through Alice Springs, as well as business networking events, community visits, educational programs with NT coaches, signing sessions and a community BBQ.
During the 2018 season, the Blue & Gold will return to the Northern Territory to face the North Queensland Cowboys in Darwin’s TIO Stadium on Saturday 9 June in Round 14 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
Details of the events open to the public are as follows:
Tuesday 5 December
4:00-5:30pm Open Training Session – Blue & Gold fans are encouraged to arrive at ANZAC Oval to watch the team go through their first of three field sessions in Alice Springs
5:30pm NRL Signing Session – Stick around after the open training session to get an autograph with the players, take a few photos and meet and greet your 2018 Blue & Gold squad.
Wednesday 6 December
4:00-5:30pm Open Training Session – After closed training sessions in the morning, followed by community visits, the Blue & Gold will hold their second open training session ANZAC Oval, which is open to the public for viewing.
5:30pm – 6:30pm Junior Skills Clinic –The Blue & Gold squad will assist at a FREE Junior Skills Clinic at ANZAC Oval, run by Eels and local NT Coaches and development officers. Open to 5-15 year old boys and girls, the skills clinic will cater for all skill levels. Click through to register for the Junior Skills Clinic here.
5:30pm – 6:30pm Coach the Coaches – Run by the Parramatta Eels NRL Coaching Staff at ANZAC Oval, the coaches will host a free Coach the Coaches session available to NT coaches. All coaches and all skill levels are welcomed.
Thursday 7 December
4:00-5:30pm Open Training Session – After closed training sessions in the morning, followed by school visits, the Blue & Gold will hold their third and final open training session ANZAC Oval.
5:30pm Community BBQ – The Eels will then hold a free Community BBQ at Alice Springs Pool during their recovery session which is open to all. This will be the last opportunity to see the squad.
Friday 8 December
There will be no available open public opportunities to see the Blue & Gold on Friday before the team departs for Sydney.
