Eels Jersey Flegg tough out win over Wests Tigers

The Parramatta Eels Jersey Flegg side have fought through plenty of adversity to come away with a tough 22-8 victory over the Wests Tigers at Hillier Oval in Liverpool in Round Four of their competition.

The Blue & Gold victory secured their second win of the season, with tries to Tuimavave Afualo, Ethan Parry, Michael Cheer and Haze Dunster.

After a tight start from both sides, a charging Tuimavave Afualo, who was playing in the back row instead of his usual centr position, put first points on the board in the ninth minute of the clash when he crashed over close to the line.

Centre Ethan Parry sliced over in the 21st minute after a simple backline movement with Dylan Brown converting the try from out wide to give the Eels a 12-0 lead.

Wests Tigers centre James Tautaiolefua would strike back, crashing over for his first try of the afternoon just four minutes later.

A crucial try just before half time to Michael Cheer, with the winger  finishing off a break created down the right edge giving the Eels an 18-4 lead at half time.

Tautaiolefua scored his second of the afternoon to give the home side a sniff of a comeback with 20 minutes remaining in the match, but Blue & Gold fullback Haze Dunster secured the victory when he scored just five minutes later.

The fullback chiming into the Eels backline to slice and power his way to the line for a four pointer.
