Last week, when the Parramatta Eels travelled to enemy territory to take on the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in Round 12 of the NRL Telstra Premiership, the Blue & Gold had a special visit from Riley Adams.

Earlier this year, 15-year-old Riley and his family went on a cruise. During this time they were stuck with devastating news that Riley needed emergency surgery due to an infection in his left eye.

Due to the incident and infection, Riley, a beloved Rugby League/Oztag fan, devastatingly lost the sight in his left eye.

Riley, his 2 brothers and parents were invited in to the Blue & Gold sheds at Suncorp Stadium after the Round 12 game to meet the Eels and get photos and autographs.

Riley was lucky enough to receive his favourite player, Clint Gutherson's beanie.

Following the incident, Riley suggested creating a GoFundMe page, which has so far raised more than $16,000 of funds to go towards Riley's medical costs. Click through to read more about Riley's story.

See some of the photos from Riley's visit below.
