Alvaro named as CareFlight ambassador

Parramatta Eels charity partner CareFlight are pleased to announce Blue & Gold forward Daniel Alvaro as an ambassador.

CareFlight is an aero-medical charity established in May 1986 by a group of Australian doctors. CareFlight uses a variety of aircraft including aero-medical helicopters, jets and aeroplanes to bring injured and ill patients within Australia and overseas to emergency hospital care.

Alvaro commenced his duties last Tuesday when he visited the CareFlight base learning more about their organisation and operational areas.

"It was great to see what happens behind the scenes and learn more about CareFlight," Alvaro said after the visit.

"I am really privileged to be able to associate my self with a community organisation that benefits so many people".

At this Saturdays game, when the Eels take on the Newcastle Knights at ANZ Stadium in Round 13 of the NRL Telstra Premiership, the Eels will be raising funds for CareFlight in the 50-50 charity raffle.

Gates open at 5pm with NRL kick off at 7:30pm.
