Late last week, several Parramatta Eels legends gathered for an Eels Legends Lunch with two auction winners who had donated their money to support Brett Kenny with his medical expenses during his recent poor health.
Held at the El-Phoenician in Parramatta, Eels legends Brett Kenny, Peter Sterling, Michael Cronin, Peter Wynn, Eric Grothe Senior, Bob O’Reilly and Jersey Komorowski were joined by auction winners John and Mark Attwood on Friday 27 July.
The auction, conducted late last year at the Brett Kenny Footy Legends Lunch at the Australian Hotel and Brewery, was won by John and Mark who paid in excess of $5,000 for the opportunity to have lunch with the Eels Legends.
John and Mark were actually neighbours to Bob O'Reilly through his time as an Eels Player.
