Young Eel selected in Queensland U18 Emerging Origin squad

Parramatta Eels junior representative player Bailey Biondi-Odo has been named in the Queensland Rugby League Under 18 Emerging Origin squad and will take part in a camp from December 12-15 in Brisbane, supported by the Queensland Academy of Sport.

Biondi-Odo is one of 27 talented young players selected in the U18 Emerging squad to be coached by Kurt Richards, with the players exposed to key elements of Queensland’s elite performance program with a focus on preparation, consistency and resilience.

Contracted with the young Blue & Gold over the last few years, the halfback played in the Eels Harold Matthews side and completed several Eels preseasons and training camps whilst staying committed to finishing schooling in Cairns.

In 2018, he played in the Mal Meninga Cup in Queensland (the NSW equivalent of the SG Ball competition).

Biondi-Odo has been selected in the Eels 2019 Jersey Flegg squad and is still eligible for the SG Ball competition this upcoming season.

Congratulations Bailey!
