Extended Highlights: Eels v Sharks, Round Four

Following the Parramatta Eels Round Four victory over the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks at ANZ Stadium for the Johnny Mannah Cup, we want to know who the Blue & Gold Army thought was best on field.

There were plenty of strong on-field performances with a double to Eels centre Michael Jennings in the second half along with tries to Marata Niukore and Brad Takairangi.

Whilst Members and fans will remember Jennings two tries, the centre also had 13 runs for 125m along with 15 tackles. Niukore carried the ball strongly with 108m from 10 hit ups and had 39 tackles to go alongside his four pointer.

Eels half Mitch Moses put in a strong performance with the half steering the Blue & Gold around the park with his kicking game proving crucial. He threatened with ball in hand for 113m from eight runs whilst also coming away with one line break, one line break assist and two try assists. Moses finished with 24 tackles to go alongside his 373 kick metres whilst also kicking four goals.

Fullback Clint Gutherson kept busy throughout the contest finishing with 249m from his 21 runs, one line break, one line break assist and a try assist. Seven tackles including a crucial try saver to go alongside his 146 kick metres.

In the middle of the field, young hooker Reed Mahoney played the full 80 minutes to finish with 59 tackles whilst prop Junior Paulo finished with 125m from 14 charges, 27 tackles and had a try denied on the line during his 57 minutes on the field.
