NRL Touch Premiership – Round Three Recap

The Men’s and Women’s NRL Touch Premiership sides played their round three clashes against the Wests Tigers at Bankwest Stadium on Friday 31 May.

The Men’s NRL Touch Premiership side kicked off the action on Bankwest Stadium with a tight and hotly contested clash against the Wests Tigers.

Still searching for their first win of the season, the Eels side trailed 0-1 at the half time break after Wests Tigers Robert Nakhla scored the only try in the first half. Eels Jordan Marshall-King scored in the second half to put the Eels back into the contest but a try to Wests Tigers James Blackwood saw the away side claim a 2-1 victory over the Blue & Gold.

In the second game of the night, the Eels Women’s side continued on their winning ways. After a slow start, the Eels Women’s side came away with a thrilling 6-5 victory over the Wests Tigers with a try in the final minute of play securing the win.

The Eels Women’s Touch Premiership now have three wins from their opening three games and sit undefeated on the top of the ladder.

The Eels NRL Touch Premiership next clash will be against the Sydney Roosters on Saturday 15 June at Bankwest Stadium, ahead of the Eels Round 14 clash against the Brisbane Broncos.
