Game Day Info: Eels v Broncos, Round 14

The Parramatta Eels return to Bankwest Stadium this Saturday night for Round 14 of the NRL Telstra Premiership when they take on the Brisbane Broncos, thanks to our Game Day Sponsor Stay Kind.

Blue & Gold Members and fans are encouraged to arrive to Bankwest Stadium to enjoy the activity around the grounds of Bankwest Stadium before cheering on the boys as they look to return to the winners’ circle this week.

Gates will open at 5.10pm, with a touch football match between the Eels and the Roosters kicking off at 5.25pm. The main event kicks off at 7.35pm, when our Eels take on the Brisbane Broncos.

STAY KIND 

Saturday night will see the Eels and Broncos show their support and commitment to the Stay Kind initiative. A message developed in partnership with the Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation to raise awareness for the foundation and promoting the prevention of harm to our youth from self-harm and suicide.

To mark Stay Kind Day and show commitment to this important cause, the Parramatta Eels will be including Stay Kind on their jerseys with the Broncos showing their commitment with Stay Kind socks.

The Thomas Kelly Youth Foundation launched the Stay Kind initiative in memory of Stuart Kelly, remembered for his continued support and kindness to his brother Thomas and to others.

GETTING TO THE GAME

Event-goers will be able to catch the train, bus or other public transport services to and from the stadium for free using their event ticket or Club Memberships.

The best way to get to and from Bankwest Stadium is by public transport with only a very limited amount of parking available.

PRE GAME ACTIVITY AND ENTERTAINMENT

There will be plenty of pre-game activity and a buzz of excitement around the grounds of Bankwest Stadium in Round 14! Check out some of the activity below.

Precinct (External)

Our Blue & Gold Membership team will be available for enquires and assistance with a presence at Gate B. Become a member and show your support in 2019. They will be also handing out Blue & Gold junior passports so young Blue & Gold Members should pop into the marquee ahead of entering Bankwest Stadium.

For queries or assistance with tickets, please visit our Ticketing window located at Gate B. The Eels Ticket Box office located at Gate B will be open from 4:55pm and is available for any Eels Ticket Collections or Game Day enquiries.

Game Day Sponsor Stay Kind will be activating around the precinct of Bankwest Stadium near Gate B, selling merchandise and collection donations with proceeds going towards the Stay Kind Foundation.

The 50-50 Charity Raffle will also return this week with volunteers raising money for Stay Kind. Be part of the 50-50 Charity Raffle, sponsored by Parramatta Leagues Club. Eels community partners CareFlight will be on hand at Gate B promoting the great work they do, collecting donations and selling merchandise whilst Life Education will also be on hand with their Mobile Learning Centre.

Keep your eye out for our roving performers, including LED Stilt Walkers, who will be keeping the Blue & Gold entertained when you arrive. NPA Events will also be located at Gate B where you can participate in challenges on their Motion Sports and Dartball Inflatables.

Wheelchair Rugby League will also be located on the basketball courts towards Gate A hosting a training session and letting the general public try out the sport, so make sure you pop on down and get involved!

Keep your eye out for our DJ, Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders and mascots Sparky and Sparkles roaming the precinct along with Western Sydney University who will be conducting research on the Game Day Experience and stadium.

Precinct (Internal)

Upon entering Bankwest Stadium, Blue & Gold Members and fans should keep their eyes peeled on some of the activity before the on field action kicks off.

The 50-50 Charity Raffle will have volunteers roaming the internal precinct of Bankwest Stadium collecting donations and selling tickets to this week’s raffle, raising funds for the Stay Kind initiative. To donate and purchase your ticket online, visit https://5050charityraffle.com.au/eels

Head to the Eels Merchandise outlets internal of Gate A and Gate D to kit up for the season ahead. Show your 2019 Eels Membership card and save 10%.

Keep an eye for our Fan Experience Team will be will greeting Members and fans at the gates, assisting at the internal Membership outlets, ushering Members to their seats and assisting Members and fans to their seats along with our Membership Outlet located at Gate D.

Keep an eye out for face painters located at Aisle 211 & Aisle 218 for Blue & Gold Members and fans to get into the spirit and show their support.

The Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders and Sparky & Sparkles will also be roaming.

The popular Members Lounge ’47 will be back at Bankwest Stadium for our Round 14 clash with the Broncos! Members Lounge ’47 is located in the North-West Premium Terrace of Bankwest Stadium and is again the perfect place for Members to meet and mingle prior to first grade kicking off! Members Lounge ’47 will be open from 5.10pm.*

*Members must present their Member card to enter Members Lounge ’47.

On Field

Ahead of kick off, our Parramatta Eels NRL Touch Premiership sides will be in action against the Roosters s so Blue & Gold Members and fans are encouraged to arrive early to see the teams in action.

Keep your eyes peeled on the big screen and LEGs for our brand new pre-game show to play before kick off, take part in the team’s run out by getting involved in the Eels Light Show and listen out for the Eels Shuffle Game!

During half time, the Parramatta Eels Cheerleaders will also be back performing for the crowd.

Please note that after the game, there will be no kids on field this week due to timing.
