Eels in the Community - June Recap

During the month of June, the Parramatta Eels had a busy month in the community with weekly visits to the Parramatta Leagues Club, Junior League Club visits, appearances with our community partners and commercial partners, meet and greets and a week in Darwin!

1st June 2019
Event: ActronAir 35th Anniversary

For the first event of the month, Eels players Daniel Alvaro, Kane Evans and Tepai Moeroa attended our Corporate Sponsor, ActronAir to help celebrate their 35th Anniversary. For the last 35 years ActronAir have been recognised for making world-class air conditioners for more than a quarter of a million Australians. ActronAir has been a one of the premier partners of the Parramatta Eels since 2018.

3rd June 2019
Event: Junior Representative Presentation Night

On June 3, the Parramatta Eels hosted their 2019 District Representative Teams Presentation Night at Bankwest Stadium, celebrating their 2019 season. 250 guests attended the event including representative players from the SG Ball, Harold Matthews, Tarsha Gale, Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cup sides. NRL squad members Mitch Moses, Peni Terepo, Tim Mannah, Greg Leleisiuao, Bevan French and Jaeman Salmon were all in attendance to help present awards to the winners.

6, 13 & 20 June 2019
Event: Weekly PLC Appearance

Every Thursday during the month of June, 2 Eels players visited the Parramatta Leagues Club between 6-7:30pm to mingle and bowl with visitors. This month included Jaeman Salmon, Josh Hoffman, Haze Dunster, Shaun Lane and Greg Leleisiuao.

7th June 2019
Event: Children's Hospital at Westmead

On their day off, Nathan Brown and Reed Mahoney voluntarily visited kids at the Childrens Hospital at Westmead to put some smiles on sick kids faces. The boys handed out some Parramatta merchandise and took photos.

10th June 2019
Event: Featherdale Meet and Greet

On June 10, Eels players Brad Takairangi and Tepai Moeroa visited Featherdale Wildlife Park to meet Blue & Gold fans. The players took photos. Signed autographs and handed out wristbands to all the fans that stopped by.

12th June 2019
Event: ALAND Grand Opening of New Offices

On June 12, the Parramatta Eels helped major sponsor, ALAND celebrate the grand opening of their new offices. Eels players Salesi Fainga’a, Dylan Brown, Andrew Davey and Rhys Davies all attended the event to help celebrate. ALAND developments are Sydney’s leading, steadily emerging property developer and have been the major sponsor of the Parramatta Eels since 2017.

13th June 2019
Event: Junior League Club Visits

This month, Parramatta Eels players Nathan Brown and Rhys Davies visited local clubs to help give back to the juniors. The players attended training sessions, threw the ball around and signed autographs.

19th June 2019
Event: Captain’s Club Event

The Parramatta Eels held a special event for those who apart of our Captains Club. The event was held at Bankwest Stadium and gave Captains Club Members the opportunity to take part in an on field skills session, a behind the scenes tour, a Q&A session as well as meeting some of their favourite Eels players and coaches. NRL players Clint Gutherson, Mitch Moses, Matt McIlwrick, Ethan Parry, Reed Mahoney and Bevan French were all in attendance for this event. As well as Steve Murphy and David Kidwell who are apart of a coaching staff.

26 – 30 June 2019
Event: Week in Darwin

Over the last week of June the Parramatta Eels headed up to Darwin early before the game against the raiders to have a presence in the NT Community. The Eels visited schools, shopping centres, the Done Dale Youth Detention Centre and kids Sports Carnivals during their trip, Markets and many more during there stay.  Events including Open training sessions, meet and greets as well as signing sessions were all held throughout the week for all of the Northern Territory Blue & Gold fans to attend.
