Extended Highlights: Wests Tigers v Eels, Round 17
Following the Parramatta Eels Round 17 victory over the Wests Tigers at Bankwest Stadium, we want to know who the Blue & Gold Army thought was best on field.
There were plenty of strong on-field performances including a hat trick of tries to Eels centre Brad Takairangi, a controlling performance from half Mitch Moses and a crucial performance from winger Blake Ferguson who backed up from State of Origin this week.
Eels centre Brad Takairangi finished the clash with three tries but his 127m from 10 runs, two line breaks, three tackle breaks and fourteen tackles capped off his strong all round performance.
With both sides scoring four tries, it was the boot of Mitch Moses that proved crucial. A perfect night with the boot saw Moses kick 7/7 to go alongside his 1 try assist, 15 tackles and mammoth 620 kick metres.
Winger Blake Ferguson backed up his State of Origin performance with another stand out performance on the wing. The statistics of one try, 108m from 13 runs, three tackle breaks and five tackles under value his performance on the field.
There were also strong performances from Reed Mahoney who topped the tackle count with 45 tackles, Nathan Brown who topped the metres gained with 149 from 19 runs and Manu Ma’u who finished with four tackle breaks, a great cut out ball for Ferguson’s try and 39 tackles.
