Eels in the Community - July recap

During the month of July, the Parramatta Eels had a busy month in the community with weekly visits to the Parramatta Leagues Club, Junior League Club visits and appearances with our community partners and commercial partners!

8th/9th/10th/16th/17th 23rd/24th/30th/31st July
Junior League Club Visits
Each month, the Eels go back to the grass roots to meet some your footy fans as part of the #whyiplay campaign run under the Parramatta Junior Rugby League (PJRL). 

This month, players including Nathan Brown, George Jennings, Dylan Brown, Ray Stone, Will Smith, Tepai Moeroa, Oregon Kafusi, Marata Niukore and many more went to several clubs. 

11th/18th/ 25th July
PLC Appearances 
Every Thursday during the month of July, 2 Eels players Visited Parramatta Leagues Club between the hours of 8-8pm to mingle and down with guests. Players included, Brad Takairangi, Marata Niukore, Clint Gutherson, Kane Evans, Tim Mannah and Nathan Brown. 

Thursday 11th 
Parramatta Mission- NAIDOC Week celebrations 
Eels Charity partners, Parramatta Mission held a NAIDOC week event where Eels players Josh Hoffman and Will Smith attended. Guests were treated to a BBQ dinner which was help from Outback Steakhouse Wentworthville who kindly donated and cooked the BBQ. 

Friday 12th 
NRL School Holidays activation (Parramatta Westfields) 
Mitch Moses and Jaeman Salmon both attended Parramatta Westfields to assist with an activation run by the NRL during the recent school holidays 

Friday 19th 
Featherdale Wildlife Park Birthday Celebrations 
Eels NRL players Manu Mau, David Gower and Junior Paulo celebrated Featherdale Wildlife Park’s birthday in the recent school holidays by making an appearance at the park. 

Friday 19th  
NAIDOC Week Hospital Visit 
To celebrate NAIDOC week, Eels Indigenous players Will Smith, Josh Hoffman and Ethan Parry all visited families at  Blue and Gold charity partner,  Children’s Hospital at Westmead spreading some smiles. The boys handed out posters, flags and wristbands while taking pictures and signing autographs. 

Wednesday 24th
Partner Networking event at Action Air HQ 
Our proud partners Action Air hosted the Parramatta Eels networking event with Head Coach Brad Arthur and  Eels players Andrew Davey, Salesi Fainga'a and Daniel Alvaro all in attendance. Thanks to all partners and Corporates who turned up for a great evening. 

Thursday 25th 
High achievers Dinner
Eels Nathan Brown and Tim Mannah showed a face at theParramatta Eels High Achievers dinner at Bankwest Stadium where Eels players from the junior levels were showcased for their on-field achievements. 

Monday 29th 
School Visit 
Jaeman Salmon visited Merrylands Public School as part of their football program. Jaeman spent some time passing the footy around with the school kids as well as answering questions. 

Tuesday 30th 
Member Loyalty event
Members who reached important milestones such as 10, 20,30 or 40 consecutive years of membership were treated to a private event at Bankwest Stadium with Rhys Davies, Manu Mau, Michael Jennings, Peni Terepo, Haze Dunster and Ethan Parry.  Head of football, Mark O’Neill also conducted a stadium tour. 

Thursday 31st 
Donate life Hospital visit
In line with Donate life week, Eels players Nathan Brown, Andrew Davey, Shaun Lane and Dylan Brown visited Westmead Childrens Hospital to see some kids who have recently undergone transplants of various types.
