Kane Evans will seek to downgrade charge

UPDATE: Parramatta Eels prop Kane Evans will seek to have his grade two high tackle - careless charge downgraded at the NRL Judiciary on Tuesday night.

If successful, Evans will be free to play the Eels first semi final on Sunday afternoon.

Evans was charged with grade two high tackle - careless by the NRL Match Review Committee following the Eels’ game against the Sea Eagles in Round 25 at Bankwest Stadium.

The charge carries a base penalty of 150 points and he will miss one week with the early guilty plea.
