Sivo charged by Match Review Committee

Match Highlights: Storm v Eels, Semi Final

Parramatta Eels winger Maika Sivo has been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee following the Club’s Semi Final defeat to the Melbourne Storm at AAMI Park.

Sivo was given a grade-one shoulder charge offence for his 10th-minute hit on Ryan Papenhuyzen. He will receive a one-match ban with an early guilty plea but risks a two-game suspension if he contests the charge.

*** UPDATE - Monday 23 September. Sivo has entered an early guilty plea to the charge and will miss one match.

Storm skipper Cameron Smith was also charged following the clash, however will escape with a fine for his grade-one contrary conduct charge for slapping Eels hooker Reed Mahoney.

He will be fined $1800 if he unsuccessfully contests the charge at the judiciary or $1350 if he submits an early guilty plea.
