With the 2019 season coming to an end, the Parramatta Eels Membership team want to thank our passionate Members for all of their support and have a look back at some of the exciting Member events and experiences from the 2019 Season.
MEMBERSHIP RECORD
For the 7th consecutive season the Parramatta Eels broke our Membership record! Members are the heart and soul of ourclub! On behalf of everyone at the Eels thank you for all your amazing support in 2019!
RETURN TO BANKWEST STADIUM
2019 was a historic year for the Parramatta Eels as we returned home to Bankwest Stadium! The state of the art stadium has given Eels fans and Members the best stadium experience in the NRL! The opening game at Bankwest Stadium will go down in history, as the Eels christened our new home with an incredible 51 to 6 thrashing of the rival Wests Tigers! The amazing support of Eels fans at Bankwest Stadium throughout the season, shows Bankwest Stadium will always be the Eels home ground no matter who is playing there!
KELLYVILLE ANNOUNCEMENT
To continue an incredible year, the Parramatta Eels unveiled plans to commence building on the largest community Rugby League facility in Australia. The Eels Centre of Excellence will boast four rugby league fields, an elite standard match venue and 5000 square metre state of the art Community Facility. The Eels are thrilled to move their training facility to Kellyville and begin the next chapter of the club’s history.
MEMBER OF THE MONTH
In 2019, we continued our Member of the Month initiative which recognises a Member that embodies our Club values. This season our Members Council selected Faith Treble, Ada Capper, Paul Tamkin, Paul Flynn and Michael Slattery as our Members of the Month. To thank them for their continuous on-going support, our Members of the Month won a 2019 signed Parramatta Eels Jersey!
WOMENS IN LEAGUE JERSEY
In 2019 the Eels proudly launched their Women In League Jersey. The Women In League Jersey proudly incorporates the names of Parramatta Eels Members, staff and the playing squad’s partners/mums names in the design of the jersey. The Eels wish to acknowledge women in rugby league and celebrate their many contributions to the game and our club. The Eels celebrated the jersey in style as we hammered the Titans 36 to 12!
MEMBERS APPRECIATION ROUND
For Round 25 the Parramatta Eels celebrated Members Appreciation Round! This included a range of awesome Member initiatives such as 100% attendances certificates on seats, Members who attended every game taking the Eels Flag onto the field and our long serving Members taking part in a Guard of Honour as the team ran onto the field.
Round 25 also featured the 2020 Members Launch Event in the popular Members Lounge 47. The Members Launch featured highlights such as player appearances, live music and complimentary food! Members Lounge 47 remained the place to be in 2019. With weekly prize draws and regular player appearances, Members Lounge '47 was an exclusive space for Members of all ages to come together and interact on game day.
MEMBER EVENTS
Eels Members were treated to some awesome Member Events in 2019. Kicking off with the Christmas Open Training Session and the BGA Festival, Eels Members had a great chance to meet the players before the season kicked off. Our Interstate Members also took part in awesome events in their region when the Eels visited town. The Brisbane Member Event was a particular highlight with Eels fans packing out the Lord Alfred Hotel pre game!
Our First Year Members were welcomed to the club in the best possible way with an exclusive event! While our top tier Captain’s Club Members enjoyed a fantastic night at Bankwest Stadium. Captain’s Club Members were able to meet some of the players, participate in a field session and receive a full tour of Bankwest Stadium! Captain’s Club is an upgrade package available to all Eels Members in 2020!
NEW MEMBER INITIATIVES IN 2019
Eels Members had access to a range of exciting new benefits in 2019. Eels Members had exclusive priority to purchase unique inner sanctum experiences. In 2019 Eels Members experienced, watching the team warm up on field and forming the guard of honour as the Eels ran onto the field. Junior Members were able to get their own Eels Passport stamped at every Eels home game. Members who had every game stamped received prizes including signed Members Caps and Eels footballs! Eels Members could also participate in Photo of the Month, by sending in their best Eels photos. The winners revived a signed Eels Members Cap! Eels Members and fans could also donate an Eels Membership to the Ronald McDonald House or Men of League Foundation.
