Eels legends to return at Legends of League tournament

Parramatta Eels legend Nathan Hindmarsh will once again lead the Parramatta line up at the upcoming Legends of League Tournament this weekend.

Held at McDonald Jones Stadium, Newcastle, the Legends of League tournament is a charity event raising funds for the Mark Hughes Foundation into brain cancer research, with some of rugby league's biggest names in history playing in an action-packed day of "old school" rugby league.

Parramatta: Nathan Hindmarsh (c), Dean Widders, Mick Buettner, Mark Tookey, PJ Marsh, Todd Lowrie, Dennis Moran, Shane Shackleton, Michael Witt, Jono Wright, Jeff Robson, Joel Reddy, Ben Smith, Tim Smith, Chris Sandow.

Five clubs in the NRL Telstra Premiership will be represented with ex-legends from Brisbane, Canterbury, Newcastle, Parramatta and Penrith.

A sixth team of Barbarians will consist of former greats from remaining clubs to round out the nine-a-side event.

Squads will be split into two pools with the top two sides in each advancing into the semi-finals.

Parramatta have been placed alongside Newcastle and Penrith with the Eels first match against the Panthers at 1:30pm before their second clash against Newcastle at 3:30pm.

Fans can also grab a photo and an autograph from their favourite Eels player at the fan zone at 2:30pm.

To purchase tickets visit Ticketmaster online, phone 136 100 or visit the Ticketmaster box office at McDonald Jones Stadium (located at the Western grandstand ticket box).
