Brown charged by NRL match review committee

Parramatta Eels lock Nathan Brown has been charged by the NRL match review committee for dangerous contact.

That charge comes from an incident where Brown collided with Daley Copley in the Eels Round Two game against the TitansĀ at Cbus Super Stadium on Sunday night.

He is facing a two-week ban due to carry-over points.

Brown will miss two matches irrespective of an early plea or a guilty finding.

The dangerous contact charge carries a base penalty of 200 points, 180 points for the early guilty plea and 240 points if he is found guilty.

The club has until Tuesday 24 March to decide whether to challenge the charge.
