Like the rest of society, our Club and industry is facing challenging times ahead that no one could have foreseen.
Within the last 48hrs, our two main business areas (NRL and Parramatta Leagues Club) have been suspended indefinitely and this has had substantial impact on our organisation at all levels.
As a result, our Club is undertaking a series of measures to limit the expenditure of the Club during this suspension period.
From today, all of our Football and administration staff will have a range of impacts placed on their employment until there is more clarity on what the future of the 2020 season looks like. This includes the vast majority of our Football and Administration staff being stood down with only a skeleton staff remaining in place during the period of suspension.
While the competition is suspended, our players remain committed to training at their home environments to ensure they are ready to play when the situation improves.
In simple terms, today was one of the Club’s most difficult days as we let the hard working and talented members of staff know that their positions were severely impacted by a situation not of their own making.
I would like to acknowledge how proud and grateful our club is for the unwavering commitment our people have to making our Club great and delivering success to our Members and fans.
We are determined as a Club to meet this challenge head on and make sure we can return all our people to their roles as soon as possible.
Stay safe, and thank you again for your support.
