NRL releases draw for next month: More venues open to fans

The NRL has locked in venues for the next month of the Telstra Premiership with all but two teams playing from their preferred 2020 home base.

Only the Warriors, who have relocated to the Central Coast since the competition resumed in May, and the Storm, who left Melbourne two weeks ago due to the spike in COVID-19 cases to base themselves on the Sunshine Coast, will be playing home matches away from their city.

Some clubs, including Manly, Canberra and the Gold Coast, were able to return to their usual stadiums last weekend with limited numbers of fans allowed to attend.

Newcastle will be returning to McDonald Jones Stadium this Sunday for the first time since round one this season.

Cronulla and St George Illawarra are also back at Kogarah this weekend with the Dragons also lining up at their other venue, Wollongong's WIN Stadium, next round.

Get Caught Up: Round 8

Sydney Cricket Ground is also back as a host venue with the Roosters taking on Canberra next Thursday in the grand final rematch.

The Warriors will continue to play out of Central Coast Stadium while the Storm, who are based on the Sunshine Coast, is the only team yet to lock in one of its matches.

Melbourne's clash with the Titans next week won't be played at Suncorp Stadium due to the venue being booked for Super Rugby and the club is hopeful of playing the match at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

Leichhardt Oval (Wests Tigers v Brisbane in round 10), Panthers Stadium (Penrith v Cowboys in round 10) and ANZ Stadium (Bulldogs v Eels in round 12) will also be reopening their turnstiles to the rugby league faithful.

Every try from round 8
