The Parramatta Eels suffered a 14-12 defeat to the St. George Illawarra Dragons at Bankwest Stadium in Round 14 of the NRL Telstra Premiership.
Whilst the Blue & Gold didn’t come away with the two points, the Blue & Gold Army voted for who they thought was the best Eels’ player on the field in Round Fourteen.
With over 1.1k votes, and close to 60% of votes tallied, Eels fullback and captain Clint Gutherson claimed the Blue & Gold Army Man of the Match honours after a mammoth 369 run metres, 91 post contact metres, 1 tackle break and a try.
Nathan Brown worked tirelessly with 192m from 19 runs and 44 tackles, Matterson had 141m and 44 tackles (100% tackling efficiency) in his return whilst Kane Evans 126m from 13 runs, 4 tackle breaks, 12 tackles and a try in his 30 minutes on the field had plenty of impact.
