Eels junior reps: Round Three

St George proved too strong for Parramatta in the third round of the Tarsha Gale Cup at Mascot Oval on Saturday.

The Dragons crossed for four tries in an impressive first half against an Eels team which was uncharacteristically down in energy. The tries came at regular intervals as St George went to the sheds leading 18 nil.

Despite lifting their intensity after the break, Parramatta was unable to take away any of the Dragons momentum.

Incomplete sets and penalties provided the girls from Kogarah with far too much possession, and the home team crossed a further four times in a dominant second half.

This match was far from the Eels best and not reflective of their efforts in the first two rounds. A high error rate made their task even more difficult.

Parramatta’s Harold Matthews and SG Ball teams both had third round byes.

Next weekend, all three grades will be in action against the Illawarra Steelers at New Era Stadium, Cabramatta. The first match kicks off at 10am.
