Reed Mahoney voted man of the match, Round One

Reed Mahoney has taken out the first Parramatta Eels fan vote for Man of the Match for 2021.

Mahoney shone in the Eels' come-from-behind 24-16 win over the Broncos at Suncorp Stadium in Round One.

He took out 41% of the vote, from 3,270 submissions.

Mahoney made a whopping 55 tackles across 80 minutes.

He scored an important try in Eels' comeback, making him the Club's first try-scorer in both the 2020 and 2021 NRL seasons.

The hooker ran for 108 metres, with 22 post-contact metres and two line breaks.

In the fan vote, Isaiah Papali'i came in second with 33% of the vote after a stellar performance off the bench.

He made an impactful 200 run metres in 56 minutes of play and 69 post-contact metres.
