Reed Mahoney Set to Make Maroons Debut

Reed Mahoney is set to make his debut for the Queensland Maroons in State of Origin Game 1.

The Parramatta Eels hooker has been named in the squad, to take on the NSW Blues on June 9 at the MCG.

The 23-year-old has undoubtedly enjoyed the best season of his career so far this year.

In 12 games, he has scored two tries, had 10 try assists, 10 line-break assists, and 10 offloads.

Mahoney has also made 534 tackles at an average of 44.5 a game.

He has played 63 NRL games in his career so far.

His selection is a great reward for his effort this season.

Mahoney enters Maroons camp today under coach Paul Green, ahead of Game 1 on June 9.
