Eels Duo Charged by NRL Match Review Committee

Parramatta Eels duo Nathan Brown and Marata Niukore have been charged by the NRL Match Review Committee.

The charges stem from the Eels' Round 15 win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

Niukore has been hit with a Grade 1 careless high tackle for a hit on Josh Jackson in the 35th minute.

The charge carries a $2,150 fine for an early guilty plea and $2,850 if he challenges for a downgrade and fails.

Nathan Brown was also hit with the same offence for his tackle on Tuipulotu Katoa in the 47th minute.

The charge carries a $2,150 fine for an early guilty plea and $2,850 if he challenges for a downgrade and fails.

The pair has until midday tomorrow (Tuesday 22 June) to enter pleas.

Brown and Niukore are free to play in Round 16 regardless of their pleas.
