Injury Update: Mahoney & Stone Near Returns

Reed Mahoney is nearing a return from a shoulder injury, while Nathaniel Roache has been sidelined after his Eels debut.

Roache suffered knee bruising in the Eels' win over the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs on Sunday.

A decision on his return will be made when swelling and inflammation reduces.

Mahoney hasn't played since Round 13, but is set to be back for the Eels' Round 18 clash with the Gold Coast Titans.

Wiremu Greig has suffered an ankle syndesmosis injury and will undergo surgery before beginning rehab.

Ray Stone is set to be back playing in Round 16.
