A number of changes have been made to the Parramatta Eels team to take on the Penrith Panthers in Round 25.

Coach Brad Arthur has opted to rest Clint Gutherson, Mitch Moses, Isaiah Papali'i, Nathan Brown, Waqa Blake, Marata Niukore and Dylan Brown, while Junior Paulo and Ryan Matterson will also miss the game serving suspensions.

Hayze Perham will make his debut for the Eels at fullback, while Ky Rodwell and Samuel Loizou are poised to make their NRL debuts from the bench.

Also coming into the team is Michael Oldfield, Tom Opacic and Sean Russell.

Jake Arthur will play in the halves alongside Will Smith who will captain the side for the first time, before NRL finals kick off next week.

Kick-off is at 8:05pm on Friday 3 September at Cbus Super Stadium.
