Eels participate in Giant Race for Giant Steps

This October, Eels community partner, Giant Steps are raising much needed funds and awareness for children and young adults with autism. The ‘Giant Race for Giant Steps’ is running throughout the month of October and we are urging the Blue and Gold Army to get behind this great cause.

Giant Steps supports children and adults with moderate to severe autism. Many of the students are non-verbal, have limited language and struggle to communicate and live independently. Giant Steps exists to support not just the individual but also their family, in every way possible. The school does not charge any fees and this is why they need your help!

This virtual challenge is easy, anyone can participate and no matter where they live. Track your kilometers whenever and wherever you want to help us reach our goal. Together, we're hoping to race all the way around Australia. To do that, we need to reach 25,760km. we are also encouraging you to help raise some much-needed funds along the way!

Every $40 raised will support individuals with autism to participate in weekly community access activities with the support of Giant Steps staff. This includes activities such as swimming, shopping, accessing public transport, visiting local cafes and walking tracks to help promote independence and essential life skills. No amount is to small

You’re invited to join team ‘Parramatta Eels’ in helping us, help Giant Steps.

All you need to do is, set up your own page here- Giant Race Sydney 2021 (grassrootz.com) and join team ‘Parramatta Eels’ just like Eels hooker and Giant Steps ambassador, Reed Mahoney has below, log your KM’s and encourage your friends and family to donate and remember, no amount is to small!
